Introduction of the Amplatzer Vascular PLug

ES Vascular Ltd loyal to its mission towards the introduction of novel technology equipment in the market, is proud to share that an Amplatzer Vascular Plug is used for the first time in the Republic of Cyprus.

The operation took place in the Nicosia General Hospital, performed by the Vascular Surgical Team for the embolization of an internal iliac artery during a procedure for the endovascular reconstruction of internal iliac artery aneurysm. Occlusion time was about 5 minutes after final positioning of the plug. A 6mm plug was used.

The AMPLATZER Family of Vascular Plugs is designed to provide optimal embolization through single device occlusion, full cross-sectional vessel coverage and controlled, precise deployment. A single device from the family of vascular plugs embolizes a vessel that would often require many coils, which makes it an efficient and cost-effective alternative.
